For twelve years, native New Yorkers and chocolate lovers around the world have raved about the Fat Witch Bakery's rich and delicious brownies. But with only one location in Chelsea Market and an online store, it seems that people are still hungry for more.
Come September 14, Fat Witch fans will be able to satisfy their cravings with the release of bakery owner Patricia Helding's first cookbook, Fat Witch Brownies . The book will contain more than 50 riffs on the coveted Fat Witch recipe, so readers can bake anything from classic brownies to white-chocolate raspberry brownies to maple oatmeal bars.
But the biggest surprise about the book isn't the dozens of mouthwatering brownies—it's how simple it is to make them. Not a single recipe contains more than 10 ingredients, and Helding peppers the book with honest tips about everything from melting chocolate to troubleshooting with your oven. The best part is, she's adamant about small batch baking and sharing her brownies with eager bakers—and what's sweeter than that?

The best brownies are the homemade kind ... or made as IF they were homemade!
