You can go to Miami and easily find tuna crudo or mini burgers, the favorites of Herve Leger-clad scenesters. But for something more off the beaten path, stop into Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market for grouper soup. Served in Styrofoam to-go cups, Esteban Garcia's magic concoction doesn't require you to don your Balenciaga heels, but it might make you feel better the morning after you've chucked them at your bedside and fallen fast asleep in your makeup (we know what you did last night). The bring-you-back-to-life soup is a family recipe from Cuba, made with Garcia's own fish stock (including the heads, which are chock full of restorative phosphorus), sofrito, rice, and hearty chunks of grouper. Call it Cuba's version of good old chicken noodle, the cure-all for coughs, colds, and, yes, hangovers. "This is what gets you feeling alive again," says Esteban, and we get the feeling he speaks from experience.
For those of you who like the nightlife, know that Esteban doesn't discriminate: You can come to Garcia's still wearing your stilettos, he says, even if your mascara is a little smeared.
